Three policemen who allegedly had a hand in the abduction of South Korean businessman Jee Ick Joo in October last year are now under restrictive custody, a police official said Wednesday.

Senior Superintendent Albert Ignatius Ferro, director of the Philippine National Police-Anti-Illegal Drugs Group (PNP-AIDG), did not identify the three but said they are under his unit.

"They are under restrictive custody and they are undergoing investigation sa AKG (Anti-Kidnapping Group) and on our part they will be subjected to a precharge investigation," Ferro told reporters in Camp Crame.
