After the confirmation regarding Jake Ejercito being the real father of Andi Eigenmann's daughter, Ellie, Albie Casiño has finally opened up about his ex-girlfriend, Andi.
Rumors circulated that Albie was Ellie's father when news of Andi's pregnancy broke out. The young actor vehemently denied the rumors, but many fans sympathized with Andi, leaving him and his career tainted.
When the truth finally came out, it was revealed that Andi cheated on Albie with Jake, who fathered Ellie.
During the press con for Regal Entertainment's 'Pwera Usog', Albie shared that he never talked to Andi regarding the issue even after the revelation of Ellie's father was made public.
“Kahit naman anong gawin niya hindi na niya mababalik yung nangyari, eh. So, parang walang point, there’s no point (na mag-usap pa),” Albie said.
He shared that they once met inside a bank, but were able to act civil towards each other.
“Being civil is different from being okay. I’m just a civil person... I have totally moved on from that,” he said, adding that he isn't holding on to any grudges against Andi.
“Matagal na akong walang galit. Kasi anong gagawin ko, magagalit lang ako? Hindi naman siya magiging okey kung galit ako, di ba? Ako lang din yung masisira pag galit na galit ako,” he added.
When asked about the impact of the previous rumors on his career, he said: “Of course, parang na-derailed siya ng konti, di ba. Nag-hiatus ako for awhile, for a long time. I lost a lot of work, di ba? Maraming naka-line-up sa akin noon, eh, tapos natanggal lahat, naudlot lahat.”
When asked about his reactions if ever he crossed paths with Jake Ejercito, Albie said: “Wala. Deadma! I don’t have anything to do with him. Anong point, anong sasabihin ko sa kanya, wala naman akong sasabihin sa kanya.”
He also noted that he is currently very happy with his non-showbiz girlfriend, saying, “I’m very happy right now. Just how I liked it non-showbiz, di ba? Nu’ng nakilala ko nga siya hindi niya alam na artista ako, eh. So yon yung mga gusto ko.”
“Siguro, natakot din dahil sa nangyari before. Pero parang even before that, hindi rin naman ako yung nagpo-post sa Instagram masyado. Hindi ako nagpapa-follow sa Facebook… alam mo yung ganu’n. Hindi ako magaling sa social media, eh, na tulad ng ibang artista,” he added.
